We are certified Forest Therapy Guides with the Association of Nature and Forest Therapy. As guides, we are trained in techniques to slow the nervous system and reap the benefits of the forest in a safe, gentle and enjoyable way.

Julie Hall

Julie Hall is founder of Shinrin-Yoku Walks and Forest Films. Raised on the beaches and foothills of southern California, nature has been a part of Julie’s life since childhood. Since the age of 18 she has immersive travel and work experiences in over 21 countries. With a background in European languages, history and film, Julie has held a variety of roles in her career, including corporate webmaster in San Francisco and English teacher in Asia. Since 2008 she has been working as a freelance photographer, focusing on the spiritual traditions and artisans of Asia.

Kelsea Anderson

With roots from the salty New England coast, Kelsea Anderson is a certified forest therapy guide, health coach, and yin yoga instructor. With a background in early childhood education, she spent several years teaching and traveling in Chile while becoming fluent in Spanish. Drawn to the woods, Kelsea leads forest therapy walks in a variety of natural settings around the world, including retreats and festivals, providing clients with deep nature experiences. Combining her mastered skills in nature connection, health, and yoga, she guides individuals in creating a balanced and vibrant lifestyle while encouraging alignment with ‘self, body, and nature’. Kelsea also feels alive while behind the camera in her role as an independent documentary filmmaker.
